With luck, or some careful planning, the falling gems will create more combinations. When three or more identical gems are lined up in this way, they will disappear, allowing more gems to fall into place. If such a combination is not made, the swapped gems will return to their original places. In order to complete a swap, the change must create a combination of at least three identical gems in a horizontal or vertical row. They must be adjacent vertically or horizontally. Swap adjacent gems by clicking one of them, and then on the gem you'd like to trade it with. An additional "Puzzle" mode challenges the player with over 50 preset arrangements.īejeweled Blitz, the 60 second mode with unique power-ups, was also later added to the iPhone release of the game, where a player's score can then be uploaded to Facebook to compare with friends. Each mode has increasingly difficult levels. There are "Classic" (no time limit, finite possible moves), "Action" (time limit, infinite moves), and "Endless" (no time limit, infinite moves) just for passing the time.
